About Me
My name is Sarah Ahmed.
I am interested in how people work together, how organisations evolve, and how structures can be shaped to foster participation and shared responsibility.
I work with individuals, teams, and organisations on professional and organisational matters – from decision-making and change processes to shaping collaboration and reflection on complex work situations through supervision.
My work is situated at the intersection of research, consulting, and practice. Experiences in political education, academic research, and collaboration with non-profit and civil society organisations shape my understanding of power relations, racism, and structural discrimination.
In doing so, I bring together individual and organisational perspectives while also considering the broader strucural context.
How I work
In my work, I combine systemic approaches with anti-racist and discrimination-sensitive perspectives. I believe that people and organisations possess diverse resources for engaging with challenges — and that development emerges where space for reflection is created.
I work with individuals, teams, and organisations to
- make patterns and dynamics visible,
- broaden perspectives,
- strengthen capacity for action, and
- shape change processes in a conscious and intentional way.
Areas of Focus
My work focuses on the following areas:
- Systemic supervision and coaching
- Roles, responsibilites, and decision-making processes
- Collaboration, leadership, and team dynamics
- Organisational development and support through change processes
- Trauma-informed process facilitation in professional and organisational contexts
- Reflection on power relations, discrimination, and structural inequality
- Anti-racist and intersectional organisational development
- Design and facilitation of trainings and workshops
My Approach
I work from a systemic, anti-racist, trauma-informed, and resource-oriented perspective.
I understand organisations as part of broader social power structures and see reflection on these dynamics as a way of creating meaningful change.
Rather than positioning myself as an expert with solutions, I see my role as accompanying processes in which new perspectives, resonance, and possibilities for action can emerge.
